I saw a cockroach in my kitchen, what do I do?
Call us right away. Some roaches can multiply extremely fast getting up over one million within a year. Other roaches are not as harmful, and it is critical that we can identify which kind of roach we are working with. The most common roaches in Arizona are the Brown Roach, the American Roach, and the German Roach. The first two are treated with our standard pest control services. The German Roach is the one that has the potential to reproduce at an astronomical scale and must be treated separately.
What is our process for cockroach control?
First – Inspection
We will perform a property inspection, during which we will locate places on your property where cockroaches are drawn for breeding, like under a kitchen sink, inside of cabinets, even inside walls, or in your vegetable garden. Think dark and moist and add food and that’s the ideal conditions for a roach. After we have identified where they are, then we will identify the species. Knowing the species will tell us what methods will be effective in treating the infestation. After seeing them, we will also determine the severity of the issue.
Second – Plan
Once we have a full grasp of the infestation, we will create a plan with you to control and eliminate the roaches that have been plaguing your property. Each plan will consist of some of the following elements:
- Pesticides, pest deterrents, eliminating the source of standing water, fogging or misting,
- Sticky traps in the most likely path where roaches may travel
- Eliminating any leaks under kitchen sinks
- Eliminate any open food containers that are easily accessible to roaches
- Look for easy entry points like doors with bad weather stripping, etc.
Third – Eliminate
We then schedule the first treatment, which could even be that very same day. Future treatments will also be scheduled at this same time, and we make sure that it will fit with your schedule. Let the elimination begin!
Fourth – Monitor
During our subsequent visits, we check our progress and make the necessary adjustments to ensure proper pest control for your environment. Bait buckets may be placed around your property and will be re-stocked during the regularly scheduled visits.
Warranty
Our warranty for general pest control is that we will control the population of the pests on our list to an extent that you should not see pests crawling around alive. You may find dead pests from time to time, and that means the pest control services are working. We will consult with you and provide you with the information you need to assist with this prevention as much as possible.
